It’s been a while since I have posted something and I am ready to go weekly again. Thank you for the continued support!
What’s going on with me? I am in week 4 of 8 weeks in the walking boot. I have not been in any pain and have been hyped to get back out there but know that I just need to trust the healing process and I will come out better than before. With the recent injury, this has allowed me to slow down and look at other aspects of life that I could try to see what God has wanted me to focus on.
Work has been very busy lately. My primary job is in the world of IT. I work at a technical college. The school has had to make considerable adjustments to accommodate our students in being a primary leadership role we made strides to make sure we can safely take of our students.
I also own as an entrepreneurial adventure a small IT business call 060 Technology Solutions. In 2017, before all the sad chaos, I was awarded as one of the top 40 under 40 for the Wichita Business Journal. In 2017, I decided to open 060 as a means to see if I could bring technology solutions to people in a new way. We have always been blessed with what we could do with this business. I am also actively involved in roles in various boards and memberships in the Haysville community. Through many community requests and a blessing of an opportunity of an affordable storefront from one of the board members, we have decided to open our first store. This has helped keep my mind of the bummer of not being able
We are also preparing for Joey’s graduation college prep and how to handle Jake and Bella’s next school year. It’s such a weird time to figure things out. Joeys was gypped of good graduation and they are doing a “drive-up graduation?” It should be interesting but we are definitely going to through him one heck of a party! Our family is doing good to try to deal with the pandemic. We pray every night and ask that we do what is right and be guided in the process to get through it.
As for the running… Man, it’s driving my crazy not being out there!! I see people on the road and also follow my friends on Strava and really miss getting out there. I can’t thank everyone enough for the kind words of encouragement as I get better. I was even sent some shirts to run in! I think my half marathon dreams may be put on hold for a very long time due to the recovery process but that is ok. God has bigger plans for when I get back out there and its always about trusting in Him and the process.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
